Man killed in Heywood car smash

A 29-year-old man has been killed and two others seriously injured after the car they were in crashed into a wall in Heywood.
The victim was a back seat passenger in the Seat Leon which hit the wall on Whittle Lane at 05:15.
Another man, also aged 29, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving.
Two men who were also in the car, aged 19 and 28, were taken to hospital.
The road was closed but has since reopened.
Sgt Simeon Holt, from Greater Manchester Police, said: "A young man has tragically lost his life as a result of this collision.
"I am appealing for witnesses who may have seen what happened to come forward."
