Parachute jump for free and raise vital funds for Springhill Hospice.
Another brave member of the Rochdale Online news team has decided to take the plunge for Springhill Hospice.
Journalism student Nicola Bamford, who has a work experience placement at Rochdale Online, will be joining reporter Kirsty Rigg in a 10,00ft tandem skydive on 28 March.
As part of the jump, she must raise £395 to give to the charity.
Springhill Hospice has teamed up with Skyline and has 20 places reserved with the famous Black Knights parachute team.
There are three types of jumps available; an accelerated freefall, where you can experience the thrill of diving solo from up to 12,000 feet, the tandem skydive from 10,000 feet, or a static line jump, which is performed solo from 3000 feet.
Kirsty has raised over £700 for her jump, and is prompting her kind sponsors to help Nicola reach her target.
Nicola’s fundraising page is: www.justgiving.com/nicolabamford If you would like to take the plunge for yourself, contact the Springhill Hospice office on 01706 649920.
