Search is on for Tourism Award nominations

Date published: 26 January 2009

The search is on for Rochdale businesses that have a chance of winning a Manchester Tourism Award 2009.

Hopes are high that Rochdale can build on the success it had at last year's awards, when the Moss Lodge Hotel won the small hotel/B&B of the year award and Nutter's Restaurant scooped the Tourism Restaurant of the Year prize.

Council Tourism Officer Tim Nuttall said: "If you think of anyone who should be encouraged to enter please let me know and I’ll get in touch and offer help in completing the entry form.

"Deadline for entries is 27 February, so it’s not far away."

There are 15 categories in these year's awards, including the 'I Love Manchester Award', where the public get to vote for their favourite place in the Manchester region.

Entries are welcomed for any of the categories that are relevant to the nominated business.
