Asda raising money for the animals
Date published: 24 January 2009
Hundreds of pounds are expected to be raised today (Saturday 24 January) at a special fundraising event for Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary.
Shoppers at Asda Rochdale have been giving generously to a stall which is set up in the supermarket until 4.00pm.
Children have been enjoying raffles, tombolas and other activities which all help to raise funds for the animals.
Events organizer Debbie Ashdown said: 2IT has been a wonderful day so far and it looks like we’re going to do really well.
“People have even been donating at the check outs in small fundraising buckets which we put there”.
Details of the amount raised will be online on Monday.
