Sites chosen for Big Clean project

The Big Clean
The Council has announced the sites within the Rochdale and Pennine areas which will be tidied up as part of the Big Clean project.
Work will begin at sites across the town in the first week of next month.
As part of the Rochdale/Pennines arm of the Big Clean, the following sites will get a makeover:
Hare Hill Rd/White Lees Road - Existing plants will be removed, block paving will be laid, new plants will be planted, the fence panels will be replaced.
Boundary Street embankment - All rubbish will be removed and area will be tidied.
Richard Street/Heap Dawson - All existing vegetation will be removed, all rubbish will be cleared and any broken benches will be removed. The area will then be levelled and seeded.
Rear of Longfield Road - All flytipped rubbish will be removed and the wooded area will be cleared and the steps cleaned.
Cheetham Street Subway - All vegetation will be removed. New low growing shrubs will be planted and the area will be generally tidied.
Rear billboards facing Entwistle Road - The shrubs will be removed and the area will be levelled and turfed with bollards installed to prevent vehicle access.
