Next month sees the first annual 'Scribble' festival of community writing and storytelling at Rochdale Town Hall.
The event kicks off in the afternoon of Thursday 19 February and includes free workshops, discussion and debate and an exploration of the links between community literature activity and community cohesion.
This will be followed by an evening line-up of the best of the North West's spoken word and musical talent.
Stalls and displays will be open from 1.30pm ahead of the opening speeches at 2pm with a choice of four workshops to follow.
The afternoon event will be followed by an evening of spoken storytelling from 6pm.
