Parachute jump for free and raise vital funds for Springhill Hospice.
Thanks to the substantial support from Rochdale Online readers, reporter Kirsty Rigg has raised almost £700 for Springhill Hospice – in just one week!
In March Kirsty will be jumping 10,000 feet out of a plane in aid of Springhill Hospice - attached to a parachute and a professional skydiver.
She started up a fundraising webpage on 12 January, and has received a number of sponsors, including from Rochdale MP Paul Rowen.
The fundraising target of £395 was exceeded in just four days.
Kirsty said: “I’m over the moon to have such support, it’s good to know there are so many generous sponsors who are willing to give to Springhill Hospice.
“I had an anonymous sponsor of £100, I have no idea where it has come from but I’d like to say a special thank you to whoever that was!”.
