Celebrity landlord to help tackle ‘tenants from hell’
Date published: 16 January 2009
A TV star is coming to Heywood next week to share his words of wisdom with local housing landlords.
Paul Shamplina, star of BBC’s ‘War at the Door’ and ITV’s ‘Tenants from Hell’ will be sharing his ‘no nonsense’ approach and leading a training event offering advice to landlords on how to deal with problem tenants.
Paul will be guest speaker at the event hosted by Rochdale Council’s Landlord Accreditation Scheme and will answer any queries landlords may have. He will also be offering advice to landlords who need encouragement in undertaking issues they may have with their tenants.
Councillor Doreen Brophy-Lee, cabinet member for housing on Rochdale Council said: “It’s a great opportunity for landlords to learn about how even the professionals can have problems with tenants and ways of dealing with this in an appropriate manner. This extra support and advice from a professional can only enhance the service private landlords provide to tenants.”
The event will take place on Thursday (22 January) at The Birch Hotel, Heywood starting at 6.30pm.
