Kind sponsors raise £260 in just two days

Parachute jump for free and raise vital funds for Springhill Hospice.

Thanks to Rochdale Online readers’ kind sponsors, reporter Kirsty Rigg has raised more than half of her fundraising target for her skydive – in just two days!

The journalist decided she would take part in a 10,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for Springhill Hospice, and will be jumping out of a plane on 28 March.

Now, just two days after starting her Just Giving donation webpage, she has already raised £260 out of her £395 target, which is over 65%.

Kirsty said: “Our readers have been extremely supportive as a lot of people know what a good cause it is.

“Lots of local people know of Springhill Hospice and the great things they do. It will be an absolute pleasure to be able to give them my generous sponsorship money.”
