Broadfield Hotel to re-open soon
Date published: 08 January 2009
The Broadfield Hotel will re-open soon having undergone a £150,000 refurbishment, upgrading the 29-bedroom hotel to four star standard.
The building on Sparrow Hill was purchased by the Best Western hotel group in November last year and will re-open under their banner. Local jobs will be created when the hotel re-opens.
The building was gutted when the hotel went into administration last year.
Duncan Stewart from Best Western said: "Myself and my business partner already own hotels in the North West and we are more than pleased that we have aquired this historic property."
The hotel will re-open as the Best Western Broadfield Park Hotel.
Rochdale Online was first with the news that the Broadfield would be re-opening soon, breaking the story in November.
Many couples had their wedding plans thrown into jeopardy when the hotel shut down in August and many of them lost huge deposits that they had already put down for room hire.
