Fire crews at the scene as the fire rages at the former Dexine Mill.
For the second time in a week there has been a large blaze at a disused mill in Spotland.
Fire fighters have been at the former Dexine Mill throughout the night (Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 January) putting out another substantial blaze after the derelict buildings were torched at almost exactly the same time last Monday night.
Crews from across the borough were once again at the scene and one appliance has been on site through the night, damping down and securing the building.
The second blaze was similar to the first, sweeping through the old mill buildings with flames reaching high into the night sky.
The mill has been the subject of a controversial planning application over the past 12 months, with developers wishing to knock down the existing buildings and replace them with appartments on the River Spodden.
