Have yourself a Big Clean
Date published: 26 December 2008
Love Christmas presents? Hate rubbish? Don’t despair because help is at hand! As part of Rochdale Borough Council’s Big Clean campaign, residents are being encouraged to make the most of their local household waste disposal sites.
Open from 8am to 6pm every day throughout the festive period, apart from Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, the borough’s household waste disposal sites can accept most household waste items, including old televisions and computer monitors that Santa may have replaced this year!
You can also dispose of wrapping paper, plastics, glass and cardboard at the disposal sites if you’re struggling to fit them in your bins.
The borough’s three Household Waste Disposal sites are located in:
- Peel Lane, Heywood
- Chichester Street, Rochdale
- Springvale, Middleton.
