John Steven Cain
The family of a man who died following a road traffic collision in Rochdale at the weekend have paid tribute.
John Steven Cain, aged 59, of Thomas Henshaw Court, Rochdale, died after his Vauxhall Corsa collided with railings
His family paid the following tribute: "He was a loving father to Jenny and Leon and grandfather to Ashton. He also had six brothers and three sisters.
"John was much loved by all his family and friends. He will be sadly missed at this poignant time of year."
Police were called to Manchester Road, Castleton, at 1.20am on Sunday 21 December 2008, where a Vauxhall Corsa had collided with railings.
John, who was driving, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
