Middleton murder victim identified

The man who died in suspicious circumstances in Middleton on Sunday morning (7 December) has been identified.
41-year old Paul Langan died suddenly at an address on Harley Road shortly before 11.40am.
Meanwhile, further to this morning's arrest of a 35-year old man, a 35-year old woman has also been detained by police on suspicion of murder. They both remain in police custody for questioning.
Mr Langan's death was confirmed at North Manchester General Hospital, while a post-mortem concluded that his death is likely to have been caused by blunt force abdominal trauma.
Rochdale Online is hoping to obtain a photograph of Mr Langan and a tribute from his family soon.
