Middleton murder suspect arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man died under suspicious circumstances in Middleton on Sunday morning (7 December).
The 35-year old was arrested today (Tuesday 9 December) and remains in police custody for questioning.
A 41-year old man died suddenly at an address on Harley Road shortly before 11.40am on Sunday. He was found by police in a collapsed condition and was later pronounced dead at Manchester General Hospital.
Police launched a full inquiry into the circumstances surrounding his death and a post-mortem concluded that the man's death is likely to have been caused by blunt force abdominal trauma.
