No snow - so go to the panto

Date published: 04 December 2008

Schools across Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale are closed today because of last night's severe weather warning, but with the overnight snow having failed to materialise, youngsters might be stuck for something to do.

Pantomime organisers at Middleton Civic Centre say there is no need to sit and mope around at home, Oh no there isn't, because they have reduced prices for this afternoon's showing of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Tickets for the 1.30pm showing are being offered at a special 'ice-breaker' price of £5 for all tickets.

The show has been billed as a spectacular professional pantomime for all the family.
