Stakehill business collapses - more people jobless
Date published: 01 December 2008
A Stakehill business depot has collapsed – leaving a number of warehouse staff jobless just a fortnight before Christmas.
Workers from A Novo, a multimedia and telecommunications company which makes digital TV boxes, have been told they have until 12 December before the business folds.
This unfortunate news follows 150 employees being sacked last summer. The remaining workers were apparently told they were safe for at least 18 months, but are now being sent away.
A worker from A Novo has claimed bosses are even deducting holidays paid for since March.
A Novo could not be contacted at this time.
