Troublesome teens who loiter on the streets can be marched home by police – thanks to a new dispersal order to tackle anti social behaviour.
Shawclough, Syke and Healey will all become no-go areas for gangs of youths as part of a new operation to make the streets safer.
The move follows an increase in criminal damage in those areas.
The order will begin next Friday (5 December), meaning any under 16s who are seen hanging around in groups of more than two can be escorted home.
It is the second time in 15 months such a measure has been placed on the area.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “dispersal orders have often been very effective in reducing crime and anti-social behaviour.”
