Disco fire engine makes early stop in Littleborough

Father Christmas swapped his sleigh for a fire engine when he visited Littleborough Fire Station, delighting more than 75 children and raising over £1,000 for charity in the process.
His dramatic entrance was just one of the highlights over the four Christmas Spectacular sessions, which saw children enjoy a tour of the fire station, some festive crafts, the chance to explore the disco fire engine and a story time with Santa in his magical Grotto.
The events were hosted by Holy Trinity Primary School and Littleborough Community Fire Station with proceeds going to support the school Venture Fund and the Fire Fighters Charity.
Robert Chew, Crew Manager at the fire station, comments: “We have had a wonderful few days welcoming families to the fire station, which, thanks to the hard work of the staff at Holy Trinity, became a little extension of the North Pole. It has been just brilliant to see the children having such an amazing time and we are thrilled with how well it’s gone and how much we have raised."
