Cardinal Langley GCSE and BTEC results 2024

Students at Cardinal Langley RC High School were celebrating their very well-deserved GCSE and BTEC exam results today with many expected to continue at Cardinal Langley Sixth Form College for their A level studies.

There were many outstanding successes to celebrate as a result of the commitment and perseverance of students. Teachers and support staff were in attendance to congratulate everyone, not merely on their academic results, but also for their contribution to extracurricular and charitable events over the last five years.

Headteacher, Mr Bridson, said: “I am delighted to commend our Year 11 students for their excellent GCSE and BTEC results - they have worked incredibly hard and they undeniably deserve their achievements.

“It has been an honour to know each of our students during their time here at Cardinal Langley. Staff have worked tirelessly to prepare students for these qualifications and have given dedicated support to our students through bespoke academic and pastoral support.

“The high standard of work our students produce continues to amaze us and we are very proud of their hard work and enthusiasm. We are very proud of every one of our students and it is rewarding to now guide them on their next steps.”

Here are a few of Cardinal Langley’s many success stories:

Elliot was delighted, having achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 8s, and will stay at Cardinal Langley to study A levels in computer science, politics, economics and English literature.

Elliot said: “To my teachers, I give my most genuine thanks; without the guidance of school, I would only have achieved half as far. I can say with certainty that today I feel nothing short of proud, not only for my own achievements, but that of my peers who have worked tirelessly and prevailed.”

John achieved five grade 9s and five grade 8s and will also remain at Cardinal Langley to study A level maths, computer science, physics and geography. He said it was lovely to see the culmination of his hard work and advises younger students to, “never let stress overcome you. Keep a cool head and you will be fine.”

Chloe will also continue her studies at Cardinal Langley with A Levels in biology, chemistry and geography, having achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s, a grade 7 and a grade 6. She said: “Thanks to all my teachers, I wouldn’t have got the grades I did without them.”

Frances plans to study A levels in English literature, physics, maths and economics, having achieved three grade 9s, two grade 8s, four grade 7s and a distinction. Frances said: “my advice to younger students is don’t stress too much and enjoy the year while it lasts!”

Natalie plans to remain at Cardinal Langley to study A level English literature, criminology, philosophy and ethics, having achieved three grade 9s, two grade 8s, a grade 7, a grade 6 and three grade 5s.

Elizabeth, who achieved three grade 9s, one grade 8, four grade 7s, and two grade 6s, will now study A level criminology, sociology and art at A level. She was delighted with her results and said, “everyone seemed so excited about what they’d get and the results were brilliant!”

Isaac who achieved three grade 9s, three grade 8s and four grade 7s will now study A level English language, Spanish, history and music technology.

His twin brother Levi achieved one grade 9, one grade 8, a grade 7, a grade 6, a grade 5, three grade 4s and a grade 3. Levi will continue at Cardinal Langley with A levels in psychology, sociology and English literature. They were both very happy and their advice to younger students was, “revise!”

Evelyn will remain at Cardinal Langley to study A level biology, chemistry, maths and further maths, having achieved two grade 9s, four grade 8s and four grade 7s.

She said she felt very proud of her results and said: “Thank you to all my teachers who sacrificed their own time and provide the best support for me during exam season, especially those I gave lots of papers and exam questions to mark!”

Archie is remaining at Cardinal Langley to study A levels in history, English Language and business, having achieved two grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7, two grade 6s and a grade 5.

He said: “I feel very happy with the results today and to enrol into sixth form. Thank you to all the staff for the support and, to the younger students, make sure you work as hard as you can.”
