Oktoberfest is returning to Rochdale Town Hall

Date published: 04 August 2024

Rochdale Town Hall will once again host Oktoberfest on 19 October 2024, promising an event filled with steins, pretzels, and musicians in lederhosen.

Participants can expect to embrace the spirit of Bavaria in true German fashion, with ample opportunities for drinking and dancing. The first Rochdale Oktoberfest was held in 2019, and the event returns this year following extensive refurbishment of the Town Hall.

Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional dirndls or lederhosen and enjoy the lively Oompah music performed by the talented Jager Maestros Oompah band.

The event will feature a comedy frontman leading a night of games and dancing, alongside an array of bratwursts, pretzels, and German beer.

The beer will be provided by Lancashire Hospitality from the Flying Horse Hotel, with the town hall catering team supplying bratwursts. Pretzels will be freshly made for the event by a German bakery in Bolton.

The Town Hall will be adorned in the white and blue colours of Bavaria, ensuring an authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere. Organisers promise a top-class event suitable for both seasoned bierkeller enthusiasts and first-time visitors.

There will be prizes for the best-dressed participants, and dressing up is highly encouraged.
