Police appeal for more information following fatal collision in Littleborough

Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage from the public in connection with the death of a 35-year-old man on Todmorden Road early this morning (Friday 12 July).

Police have said that a Citroen Berlingo and a Kawasaki motorbike collided as the car was doing a turn at the junction of Ferrand Lodge and Todmorden Road at around 7.30am.

Despite the best attempts of emergency services, sadly a 35-year-old man who was the rider of the motorbike was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His family are continuing to receive specialist support at this time.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Page said: “First and foremost our thoughts with the loved ones of the man who has tragically passed away in this incident.

“Our enquiries are in its early stages still, but we are keeping an open mind into what happened. If anyone has witnessed the movements of either the Citroen or a black Kawasaki motorbike before 7.30am this morning then please get in touch.

"The priority is obtaining as much evidence as possible to help with our investigation, so if there is any additional detail, including dashcam footage, you are asked to all 0161 856 4741 direct or 101 quoting incident 551 of 12/07/2024.”
