Rochdale from Rooley Moor Road
The Met Office has confirmed that today (Wednesday 26 June) will see the peak of the current high temperatures in Rochdale and surrounding areas, before things cool off with unseasonably windy conditions on Thursday.
The website states that despite recent rising temperatures with some of the hottest days of the year so far, we can expect a return to cooler, damper days.
The Met Office website states: “It will be cloudier in the north and northwest, with a few showers over higher ground in Scotland.
“Tuesday was the hottest day of the year so far, with 30°C reached at Chertsey in Surrey. This value is likely to be beaten today before things cool off tomorrow.”
Rochdale is set to drop from 27 to 15 and 16 degrees in the coming days.
