Hairstylist named in UK top 50 for two national awards

Date published: 22 June 2024

A Rochdale hairstylist has been listed in the UK top 50 for two separate awards, as part of the 2024 UK Hair and Beauty Awards.

Natalie Power, who works at Salon 481 on Oldham Road, was been named as a finalist in the Best Colour Salon category in the national awards which took place on 1 June.

Though she didn’t win that award, the talented stylist was placed in the UK top 50 list, not just for ‘best cutting’ but also for the ‘rising star’ award.

Natalie told Rochdale Online News: “It was an actual life goal attending the Hair and Beauty Awards, I once told myself I probably would never be able to attend there, but with a positive mindset and facing my fears starting work at Salon 481 with two supportive bosses seven months ago, I made that possible.”

“The event from start to finish was an amazing experience, meeting some of the most talented stylists around the UK was so inspiring.”

She added: “My plans are to expand on my skills further and attend more courses to better myself, and I am going back to university to continue a Salon Management Bachelor’s Degree to one day successfully run a salon.”

The UK Hair and Beauty Awards celebrate the hair and beauty industry in style with an annual red carpet event with celebrity guests, hosts and entertainment, and can only be attended by invitation only.
