Rochdale dancers had a spring in their step after securing five championship titles at the Endeavour Championships in Lincolnshire.

Students from Fabdance on Rooley Moor Road competed against dance schools from all over the country, before coming away with multiple first-place titles.

Cora-shea Fletcher, the youngest comp squad member won both her freestyle disco and slow dance solos.

Meanwhile, Lyla Briddon won her slow dance solos section, as well as regaining the under16 rock n roll title with her sister Lois.

To top it off, Mia-grace Walsh and dance partner Christopher Booth won their rock n roll section.

Each ‘Fabdancer’ who participated in the competition came away with at least one trophy.

Fiona Briddon, school principal, teacher and owner of the Fabdance Centre, said: "I have always been proud of all our students from the studio, but never in a million years did we expect these results.

"We are always on the lookout for new kids to join our award-winning ‘compsquad’.”

She added: “We held fundraising events to help towards the expenses of the competition with local businesses providing raffle prizes.

“We would just like to personally thank our amazing sponsors, The Oxford, on Whitworth Road, for our uniform.”
