Organisers of the Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair are looking for people to donate goods to the stalls.
The fair takes place at the Hospice on Sunday 30 November from 10:00am until 3:00pm, and the Hospice wants anyone who can make donations to contact them as soon as possible.
Ian Jenkins, Fundraising Manager at the Hospice, said: “The success of our Fairs owes a great deal to the amount of items donated to them and, of course, the quality of those items.
"Last year we raised a phenomenal amount at both our Spring and Christmas Fairs and it never fails to amaze me how the local community really get behind the events.
"We are always looking for raffle or tombola prizes and especially any type of home-bake as that stall is one of the most popular at every Fair.
As parking at the Hospice is at a premium, visitors to the Fair should take advantage of the free Park & Ride facility operated on the day by James Lewis Travel. This regular bus service runs to and from Springhill High School Car Park and the Hospice for the duration of the Fair.
Changes in legislation have meant that the Hospice has to turn away all second-hand electrical goods and they have decided to decline any books that are badly damaged or dirty for health reasons.
Anybody wishing to donate goods should take them direct to the Hospice on Broad Lane, or contact the Fundraising Office on 01706 649920 to arrange a convenient time for collection.
