Springhill Hospice's Christmas Cracker event
On Friday 8 December, Springhill Hospice once again held its festive celebration, Christmas Cracker, at the Norton Grange Hotel and Spa. This sparkling festive luncheon helped get supporters into the Christmas spirit whilst raising vital funds for the hospice.
Guests were greeted at the door with a glass of prosecco and a complimentary photo next to the beautifully decorated Christmas tree, to showcase their fabulous outfits. Donna from Strawberry Laces Boutique, supported the event and was spoiled for choice on who she could award the “Best Dressed” prize to. The overall winner was Jill Greensmith, who took home the prize for the second year running thanks to her stunning outfit and glamorous appearance.
The afternoon was hosted by the wonderful Farah Rehman, who kept the crowd of ladies entertained and engaged all afternoon. After their delicious four course meal, guests were then welcomed onto the dancefloor by the wonderful singer, Adam Ingles. Whilst they were enjoying the various festive activities, those in attendance could also browse the stalls from Deanne Jewellery and Temple spa skincare, picking up some early Christmas treats.
Jo Ali, Springhill’s Community Engagement Officer, said: "We were absolutely delighted at the turnout for our second Christmas Cracker, welcoming supporters new and old. It was a fabulous afternoon filled with so much laughter, eating, drinking, and dancing. There was some fiercely competitive bidding at our auction, and as a result, an amazing £10,140 was raised; even higher than the previous year's total! We are so thankful for everyone's generosity and can’t wait to see how well 2024’s Christmas Cracker does!"
