Two men from Rochdale and Heywood charged in connection with Tameside kidnapping

Two men from Rochdale and Heywood have been charged in connection with a kidnapping in Tameside.
Six men in total have been charged in connection with the incident, which saw a man assaulted and forced into a car in Dukinfield on Wednesday 24 January.
Police have confirmed the victim has been located “safe and well.”
Marshall Redfern, 23, of Heywood; Joshua Oakes, 28, of Rochdale; Paul Doherty, 35, of Blackpool, and Daniel Hague, 32, of Blackpool, have all been charged and remanded with kidnap and are due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on 1 March 2024.
Edward Dowdall, 32, of Blackpool, was also charged and released on court bail to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on the same date.
Jack Laferty, 19, of no fixed abode, was charged and remanded with conspiracy to kidnap and concerned in the supply of cocaine. He was due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court yesterday (29 January 2024)
Two teenage girls, aged 18 and 17, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
