Two kind-hearted brothers from Littleborough have been raising money for families struggling this Christmas – by wrapping up their own plush toys and teddy bears.
Seven-year-old Orion and five-year-old Prince have taken it upon themselves to make a difference in the lives of families facing challenges during this festive season.
They decided to give their much-loved soft toys a new lease of life, by selling them on at Reuse Littleborough, so that other children have a gift to open on Christmas morning.
With the support of the community, Orion and Prince have been collecting plush toys, teddy bears, TY, and Cutetitos. They have lovingly wrapped these items and have been selling them at Reuse Littleborough.
The proceeds, through suggested donations of £2 or any affordable amount, will be presented to Reuse to help families in need.
The siblings have also been handing out lollipops to people and offered to paint, draw, or send Christmas cards to those who donate, spreading kindness.
Their father, Stephen Hobson, said: “As a father, I couldn't be prouder of my children's kind-hearted nature and their dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of others. Their initiative truly reflects the genuine spirit of Christmas.”
The boys have also been awarded a certificate for fundraising from Forever Manchester, a charity that raises money to fund and support community activity across Greater Manchester.
Donations can be made via JustGiving:
