Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre
The Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre is up for sale at an online auction on 12 December.
The prominent town centre shopping centre, which opened in 1978, is expected to fetch £3.5m, according to auctioneer Allsop.
According to the listing, the market “is under offer as a site sale to a global fast food chain for a drive-thru restaurant.”
In total, the site covers almost six acres in the centre of Rochdale, and generates gross rent of £1.8m a year.
A sale at the guide price would reflect a gross initial yield of more than 51%, according to the listing.
The shopping centre is being auctioned off on behalf of the Martin Property Group, which bought the Exchange in August 2022.
Martin Property Group has been contacted for comment.
