Replacement firework display announced

Following the cancellation of the annual Firework Display at Rochdale Town Hall Square, All-In-One Garden Centre has stepped in and offered to both host and fund a replacement event.

The event remains free but people will need to register for tickets as it is restricted to a maximum of 600 people for health and safety reasons.

Jason Stafford, Finance Director at All-In-One, said: “As part of Rochdale and Middleton Borough, it is important that these key family activities and events are provided to maintain the community spirit. We at All-In-One Garden Centre are very keen to provide a spectacular firework display for the people of the borough.”

Working with Rochdale Town Centre Management the ticketed event will start at 6.30pm prompt on Wednesday 5 November.

Debbie O’Brien, Town centre Manager said: “We are very grateful that the All-In-One has come to the rescue and we are working with them to deliver this fantastic event safely, and provide what we unfortunately couldn’t provide in the town centre.”

Hot drinks, soup, black peas, parkin, treacle toffee and other snacks will be available from the restaurant.

Customers are free to shop in the store and visit the Christmas Shop as the garden centre will remain open until 8pm on the evening.

Middleton Leisure will be providing the warm up act, with Father Christmas, Fairies, A Panto cow, a Town Crier and Elves keeping the crowds entertained before the the fireworks display.

To register click on the firework picture, complete the form and tickets will be emailed alongside a 10% Firework discount voucher valid until 30 December.
