The borough of Rochdale is ready to celebrate its fantastic architecture and heritage with the return of the National Heritage Open Days festival, running from Friday 8 September - Sunday 17 September.
Every year in September, England’s largest voluntary cultural event returns as a celebration of local and national heritage. Co-ordinated nationally by the Heritage Open Days National Partnership and locally by Your Trust, Rochdale takes part by opening the doors to various historic buildings throughout the borough that are usually closed to the public or charge an entrance fee.
Local buildings full of history will be open and free to explore, many of which include differing age, style and function across the borough all with fascinating guided tours and talks.
