Girls lost without stolen cornets

A Bamford family had two musical instruments stolen from the boot of their car while it was parked on their drive on Sunday (12 October).
Jane Howard is appealing to anyone who might be sold the instruments, which are gold coloured Elkhart B flat cornets, to contact police immediately.
The instruments were loaned by Mrs Howard's daughters, Rebecca and Lucy, from the Rochdale Music Service, and were in black soft box cases when they were taken from the boot of the car.
Mrs Howard said: "Rebecca and Lucy are lost without them. Unfortunately our insurance doesn't cover them and they are around £150 each, so it is going to be an expensive time and the police have nothing much to go on."
The serial numbers on the instruments are 172 081 39 and 179 071 18.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Rochdale police on 0161 872 5050 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
