Three people have been arrested after drugs, weapons and cash were found during an early morning warrant in Heywood.

Police entered a property in Queen's Park Road, Heywood, on Wednesday morning (17 May), an intelligence-led warrant, with assistance from the district intelligence unit and the Heywood Neighbourhood Team.

Within the property, a significant quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs were found, along with some Class C drugs.

In addition, numerous large knives, a suspected stolen motorbike, and large sums of cash were seized by officers.

A 42-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old boy were arrested.

All were arrested under suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intention to supply, suspicion of possession of Class C drugs, suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, and suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Sergeant Jay-Naren Uppal, from the proactive Neighbourhood Team, said: "This was a fantastic result for our officers and was a great success in many areas. We seized harmful drugs, recovered stolen property, and took offensive weapons out of circulation.

"Our number one priority is keeping the local community safe and we will do what we can to ensure that."
