Members of the Community Careline Services presented Mayor Ali Ahmed with cheque for £1,000
Community Careline Services, a home care service based in Rochdale, has donated £1,000 to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal, which includes Springhill Hospice, Parkinson’s UK, Jolly Josh, Get Together After Serving CIC, Rochdale Connections Trust and BASA Rochdale.
Members of the Community Careline Services Care Team were invited to ask questions and get to know the Mayor Ali Ahmed over a coffee to learn more of his plans regarding Rochdale and its commitment to caring for the people at large.
After pleasantries, members of the Community Careline Services presented the mayor with the cheque in a short ceremony.
Athar Mahmood, director of Rochcare and Community Careline Services, said: “We’re incredibly supportive of the Mayor’s choice of charities, including the addition of Springhill Hospice.
“As stalwarts of the care industry we understand that ageing can be a difficult process and doing what we can to be a part of the solution is fundamental to who we are and what we stand for at Community Careline Services. All of these amazing charities will play a huge part in providing assistance to the local area and we’re incredibly happy to play our part in assisting Rochdale the best we can.
“We’ve been working with the local community of Rochdale since the 1980s, we know what it means to be active in the local community and we’re always looking to do more. So being able to personally host the mayor and support his goals has been incredible.”
