Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited Bamford over the weekend with Chris Clarkson MP
The Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made a surprise visit to Bamford over the weekend to knock on doors ahead of May’s local elections.
The visit to the Rochdale borough is the second for the Prime Minister in as many weeks, after the launch of a new grooming gangs taskforce earlier this month.
Chris Clarkson, MP for Heywood and Middleton, joined the Prime Minister to campaign for local candidates ahead of this May's local elections.
Mr Clarkson said: “It was a pleasure to welcome the Prime Minister back to Heywood and Middleton for a second visit in a fortnight, this time getting out on the doors in support of our excellent local candidates for May's elections.”
