The Global Rahmah Foundation will be distributing gifts this Eid to children on wards of local hospitals.
The Gifts of Eid project aims to promote kindness, unity, and generosity during the holy month of Ramadan.
Members of the community are encouraged to purchase new and unused gifts appropriate for children between the ages of 0-18 years.
Gifts such as toys, books, dolls, cars, puzzles, games, arts and crafts materials, nail art kits and jewellery making kits are some suggestions.
The gifts will be distributed to children on the wards of collaborating hospitals – including Royal Oldham, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and The Christie – to spread love and joy during Eid celebrations.
There are two drop-off points in Rochdale at Indialicious (Unit 4, Mayfield Parade, Albert Royds Street, OL16 2US) and Wardleworth Community Centre Association (South Street, OL16 2EP).
For those who cannot drop off gifts, donations are also accepted via the following gift fund
