Free multi-lingual wellbeing service launched for Khubsuret House residents

Date published: 10 April 2023

A free multi-lingual wellbeing service has been launched for residents of Khubsuret House, a sheltered housing complex in Deeplish.

The new service – made possible by Deeplish Community Centre in partnership with MSV Housing Association and Action Together – will help and support senior citizens and residents of Khubsuret House with their money management and welfare advice.

Charlie Norman, CEO of MSV, said: “We are delighted to see the launch of the multi-lingual wellbeing service, working alongside Deeplish and Action Together.

“The service will provide much-needed wellbeing support in several different languages, using the wonderful Khubsuret House to support this. I hope residents find the service useful and can’t wait to pop in soon.”

Sohail Ahmad, operations manager of Deeplish Community Centre, said the groups were “responding to the community’s needs” and maximising support during difficult times.

He added: “We are also offering solutions to local people’s money matters and difficulties by providing culturally appropriate, effective and supportive services."

The free drop-in service will run every Friday afternoon from 3pm – 5pm.
