The 28th annual Northern Stock Cars Veterans Reunion
Scores of veteran stock car racers met up and shared fond memories at the 28th annual Northern Stock Car Veterans Reunion on 4 March.
Around 80 drivers and fans met up at the Boarhurst Band Club in Greenfield near Oldham, to enjoy Ray Liddy films, a quiz and have a catch-up.
Stock car racing is a form of automobile racing, which is run on oval tracks. A stock car has not been modified from its original factory configuration, unlike a custom-built race car.
Organiser Steve Hayward, of Leewood Motor Club, said the night “was a very enjoyable reunion.”
Leewood Motor Club was founded in the 1970s and was an amalgamation of Lancs & Cheshire Autograss and Leesona-Holt rally club.
