A men’s afternoon has been set up at the UpDated Coffee Bar in Middleton town centre.
From 15 March, men of all ages can call in to UpDated on a Wednesday afternoon between 2pm and 4pm for a hot drink and a chat.
Andy Dale has helped coordinate the afternoon with the coffee bar’s owner, Bernard Wynne.
He said: “After two local guys went missing near me the other week – fortunately both have been found safe and well – and a tragic incident in Boarshaw at the weekend, myself and Bernard have decided to set up a men’s afternoon.”

Andy added: “There’s no set agenda; just turn up, meet folk, make friends and have a brew.”
The first men’s afternoon will take place between 2 and 4pm on Wednesday 15 March at The UpDated Coffee Bar, 37 Middleton Gardens, Middleton, M24 1AB.
