Littleborough Coach House was packed out for comedian Dave Twentyman for his show ‘Dave Twentyman has ADHD’ on Friday 3 February.
Dave’s show provided valuable insight into the world of neurodiversity and the challenges faced by families dealing with a diagnosis of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
Dave himself was diagnosed with the condition as an adult, and has been performing stand-up comedy for over 20 years.
His show has been described as “a true engaging performance dedicated to those with ADHD, those who love someone with ADHD and to those who just want to understand it more.”
The evening also raised £700 for Home-Start Rochdale and Bury with a £100 donation on the night from Littleborough Lions.
Organiser Rick Attwood, of Ace Lips Events, said: “Dave’s show was a truly remarkable event. Not only was it entertaining, with Dave's honest and witty delivery, but it was also educational and enlightening.
“It was heartening that Dave allowed his show to be held in aid of Home-Start Rochdale and Bury, an organisation dedicated to supporting families in need.
“Special thanks go to Brian Gumbley Accounting and Sharon from Cherry Tree Café for their support, without whom the show would not have been possible.
“Overall, the Dave Twentyman ADHD show was an outstanding success and a must-see for anyone who enjoys stand-up comedy or has an interest in learning more about neurodiversity.”
Ace Lips has been running comedy nights for almost 10 years across Rochdale and Oldham, and also hosts regular sell-out events at the Old Court Room above the Flying Horse Hotel.
Home-Start Rochdale and Bury is a family support charity providing practical and emotional support for parents and children experiencing stress or difficulties, including autism and ADHD.
