Kids to have their say
Date published: 08 October 2008
Children and young people across Rochdale can have their say about the future of their town as part of ‘The Big Listen’ next month.
Dozens of workshops and events will be staged in schools, children’s centres and community venues.
This year’s theme is the environment, with youngsters being encouraged to get together and speak about their ideas and concerns.
The Big Listen will take place from 17-21 November, coinciding with Anti-Bullying Week.
Helen Wensley from Rochdale Council said: “Whether it’s a no plastic bag day or learning about waste and its impact on the planet, this is your opportunity to let us know how we can make a difference.”
