Participants celebrate completion of Palliative Care Education programme

Date published: 30 December 2022

The Springhill Hospice Education Team hosted their annual ‘Palliative Care Passport’ celebration event, for all those who successfully completed the programme of Palliative Care Education, on Friday 2 December.

The celebration was held to recognise the dedication and hard work the students devoted to the course. The Palliative Passport carries the endorsement of Skills for Care, and has won national recognition with both the Princess Training Awards and Skills for Care.

Mayor Ali Ahmed joined the celebration to present the awards, together with his Consort Sultan Ali, trustee at Springhill Hospice.

The award ceremony and celebration took place at the hospice, as Springhill warmly welcomed the Education students along with their families and managers now that Covid restrictions have been lifted.

The afternoon was filled with pride, joy and heart-warming speeches from participants of the course, in which they were able to share with everyone just how the course has helped them, both personally and professionally, within their own work environments.

Springhill Hospice congratulated and thanked everyone who attended the celebration. The education team also expressed their gratitude to all those who supported the event; including dedicated volunteers, Barbara and Sue, and also photographer Sam from Sony.
