New British Transport Police app to report railway crime

Date published: 04 January 2023

The British Transport Police has launched a new free Railway Guardian app for passengers to download to their mobiles. The app allows you to report crimes or concerns on the rail network and get access to guides or support.

You can also stay up to date with the latest news and updates from British Transport Police.

All reports made via the app go straight to the control room so officers can deploy colleagues to your nearest or next stop where appropriate. The geographical location option also allows you to share your journey with loved ones and lots more.

The app is the only police-supported safety app available in the UK and the aim of the app is to help passengers feel confident travelling on the railway, knowing help is at hand if needed.
