World Mental Health Day 2008 in Rochdale
Date published: 07 October 2008
To celebrate World Mental Health Day 2008, health professionals from NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale will be pitching up at Rochdale Exchange shopping centre on Thursday (9 October). The team will be there between 10am and 2pm offering a range of activities to show how people can take time out and de-stress.
Activities will include arts and crafts, blood pressure and weight checks and health advice, flower ranging and the chance to take part in a health walk.
There will also be smoothies on offer so that people can explore the connection between mood and food.
The event will also see the launch of a ‘Big Brother’ style DVD, where people share their thoughts on what makes them stressed.
