HMR Circle enjoys Christmas bash at Zen Internet

Date published: 13 December 2022

More than 100 members of the award-winning social enterprise HMR Circle enjoyed a fabulous Christmas Party at the palatial home of Zen Internet at Sandbrook Park on Wednesday (7 December).

120 Circle members were treated to a four-course meal with drinks all freshly prepared and served by Zen catering staff and Zen staff volunteers.

Over 30 Zen staff members put their hands up to volunteer on the day as waiting on staff and helping to make the event run incredibly smoothly.

The highlight of the day was when Karen Finnegan, who leads on Zen's charitable and social committee was able to announce that, after the success of the initial HMR Circle Big Christmas Parties hosted by Zen in 2021 and 2022 along with a 60s reminiscence event in March, that the Christmas Party was now an annual event and that everyone was looking forward to welcoming Circle members back in 2023.

Mark Wynn, HMR Circle Director said: "Our Christmas party at Zen is now our showcase event of the year and the 120 places available went within 48 hours of going on sale and we also had a massive waiting of people wanting to attend.

"We have to thank Zen's founder and chairman, Richard Tang along with Karen Finnegan and David Howson who we coordinated with to organise the event and a huge thank you to the Zen catering staff and volunteers for the incredible service they provided for our members.

"Zen have been amazing supporters of the work Circle does and along with the Christmas Party, Zen staff also raised an incredible £10,000 for Circle in the last 12 months."
