Boy arrested in connection with Heywood armed robbery

The armed robber threatens the shopkeeper at the Heywood newsagent with a knife before making off with cash.

A 16-year old boy has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery at a Heywood shop that took place a week last Sunday (28 September).
Police released CCTV footage of the incident last week, which showed a person using a knife to threaten the shop keeper at KG Ahmed newsagent on Miller Street.
The man made off with a sum of cash from the till at around 2.45pm and ran off down Buckley Street.
No-one was hurt during the incident but the shopkeeper was left extremely shaken.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remains in police custody.
