Man struggles for life after being hit by Heywood driver

A 49-year old pedestrian is fighting for his life after he was knocked down by a 25-year old driver from Heywood.
The collision happened on Saturday evening (4 October) in Crumpsall when the man was on Middleton Road when he was hit by the Heywood man's Peugeot 308.
The pedestrian, who is from Crumpsall, received serious head injuries in the collision and was taken to North Manchester General Hospital. He was later transferred to Hope Hospital where he is currently being treated for a life-threatening injury.
The Heywood driver was not injured in the incident.
