Resisdance Company dancers bring home five awards from Ibiza Freestyle Dance Championships

Two dancers from Resisdance Company, Milnrow, have brought five awards home from Ibiza after competing in the Ibiza Freestyle Dance Championships.

Dancers Georgie Shields, 10, and Sophia Schumann, seven, flew out to the holiday island in September where they competed in San Antonio against many dancers from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Sophia was named the Ibiza championship winner in street dance, and also scooped fourth place positions in freestyle solo and slow dance, whilst Georgie picked up an impressive third place in both freestyle solo and slow dance.

Established in 2020, Resisdance teaches freestyle solo, slow, contemporary and street. It is based at Loud Studios on Mondays, and Milnrow Cricket Club on Wednesdays.
