A 'one-stop-shop' for Littleborough
Date published: 02 October 2008
A group that will help shape the future of a ‘one stop shop’ of public services in Littleborough held its first ever meeting last night.
The Littleborough Joint Service Group will gauge public opinion during the design, construction and service of the new development.
The ‘one stop shop’, or to give it its official name, the Joint Service Centre, will include a Township Office, a Library with computers, various charity organisations, a Rochdale Boroughwide Housing office and an NHS service.
The most likely venue for the centre will be in the health centre building behind the police station in Littleborough.
Jean Ashworth chaired the meeting, she said: “I think this is an important and much valued venture for the Littleborough, Wardle and Smallbridge areas in the Pennines, long awaited and will be a valuable asset to the community.
“Public views will be a priority on this future development and what services they consider are needed and I would welcome feedback.”
Anyone who has any views on the proposed development should forward them to:
